Exactly one year after Buddy Holly exited this realm, Brian Surgi entered it, via New Orleans. His first musical awareness came at age five, absorbed by the Beatles’ “Michelle” wafting from his mom’s radio. Brain remembers, “It was the first time I stopped what I was doing and let music captivate me. The melody stuck with me the rest of the day.”  Early on, his musical tastes leaned toward the more sophisticated works of the day. In the 70s, he acquired an acoustic guitar and taught himself the basics. Within two years, he was on bass guitar in a local band. In AsWeDream, Brian fuses past influences into a style all his own.
